Graves Morning…Technically Night Routine

Ideally meant for a work shift of 2pm-12am

9:00 AM – Wake Up and Morning Prayer

  • Start your day with a prayer of gratitude. Thank God for a new day and ask for His guidance and presence throughout your activities.

9:10 AM – Bible Reading and Devotion

  • Spend 20-30 minutes reading a passage from the Bible. You can follow a reading plan or focus on a specific book or theme that resonates with you. Take a few minutes afterward to meditate on the passage and how it applies to your life.

9:40 AM – Journaling and Reflection

  • Take 10-15 minutes to journal your thoughts, prayers, and reflections from your Bible reading. Writing down what God is teaching you can help reinforce your spiritual growth.

10:00 AM – Prayer Time

  • Dedicate 15-20 minutes to focused prayer. Use the ACTS model (Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication) or pray freely. Include time to listen for God’s guidance and direction.

10:20 AM – Worship Through Music

  • Spend some time in worship by playing and singing along to worship music, or simply listening and reflecting on the lyrics. Let the music uplift your spirit and draw you closer to God.

10:40 AM – Exercise or a Walk

  • Engage in some physical activity, such as a workout or a walk. This is a great time to pray, listen to a Christian podcast, or reflect on God’s creation. Physical exercise can help you feel energized for the day.

11:20 AM – Breakfast and Spiritual Nourishment

  • Enjoy a healthy breakfast while reading a devotional or a Christian book. This is a time to nourish both your body and soul, helping you stay spiritually focused throughout the day.

11:50 AM – Personal Growth or Service

  • Spend time on an activity that fosters personal growth or serves others. This could be studying a Bible course, volunteering, working on a hobby, or helping someone in need. Engaging in meaningful activities helps you live out your faith.

12:50 PM – Daily Planning and Goal Setting

  • Take some time to plan your day and set goals, asking God to guide your steps and give you wisdom. Reflect on what you want to accomplish before work and how you can honor God in your tasks.

1:15 PM – Rest and Relaxation

  • Take some time to rest and relax before your shift. This could include reading, napping, or enjoying a peaceful activity that rejuvenates you.

1:30 PM – Lunch and Final Prayer

  • Have lunch and take a few minutes to pray, asking God to be with you during your work shift. Seek His strength, patience, and wisdom to navigate the challenges of the day.

1:45 PM – Prepare for Work– Be early – include your distance of travel time so that you know when you should leave. Be 5 – 10 minutes early!

  • Get ready for work, ensuring you are physically and mentally prepared. Use this time to focus on the tasks ahead and commit them to God.

2:00 PM – Begin Work

This routine is designed to make the most of your time before your shift, ensuring you are spiritually and mentally prepared for the day ahead. Adjust it as needed to fit your personal schedule and preferences.
